Nicolas Alparaz

Nicolas Alparaz is a senior double majoring in Accounting and Business Administration with an emphasis in Financial Analysis and Valuation. Nick has spent the last two summers interning at Ernst & Young LLP as an assurance intern in the Financial Services and Retail & Consumer Products industries. During the school year he works part-time with Ernst & Young as a Business Development intern where his main responsibilities are to create market research reports and IPO activity reports for potential client pursuits. On campus Nick is part of Troy Camp, USC’s largest and most diverse student ran philanthropy where he was the organization’s Director of Finance during his junior year.


Nick’s interests include the guitar, Los Angeles sports teams, finding new music and readings on geo-politics.

Logan Campbell

Logan Campbell is currently a junior who expects to graduate after only three years with a business degree from the University of Southern California. He was born and raised in Irvine, California, and has lived in California his whole life. Over the past two years, he has worked at Highland Fairview, a real estate development company in the Inland Empire, and has interned with the mutual fund statistics group at PIMCO, helping to manage the company’s over $800 billion in assets under management. 

In his spare time, Logan enjoys watching live sporting events, and playing video games with his friends.

Kevin Deiter

Kevin Deiter is a senior in the Marshall School and will be graduating in the spring of 2009 with a Bachelors in Business Administration concentrating in Investments and Financial Markets. He is a member of the USC Varsity Track team as a Triple Jumper and is looking forward to a healthy, successful season. Kevin is also an active member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and has held several leadership positions within the house. He has spent the last two summers and this past winter interning with Dow Jones Global Indexes in the Corporate Actions Group, in Princeton, NJ.


Kevin enjoys surfing and spending time at the beach as well as playing football, baseball and basketball. Upon graduation, he plans enter the working world, but hopes to sneak a surf trip to Indonesia in first.

Justin Ho

Justin Ho is a senior at USC and will be graduating in May with a B.S. in Business Administration. Over the summer he worked as an investment-banking analyst for Goldman, Sachs & Co. Justin is also heavily involved in the credit union industry, serving as a member of the board of directors of the USC Credit Union ($300 mm in assets) and also as a Gen-Next / Strategy Consultant for Glatt Consulting, LLC. Justin is also frequent speaker at various credit union conferences around the nation.


Other hobbies include violin, tennis, and football. After graduation Justin hopes to pursue a career in investment banking.

Tony Jercinovich

Tony Jercinovich is a senior at USC and will be graduating in May with dual degrees in Business Administration and Political Science. Over the summer he worked as a strategy analyst at British Petroleum but now most of his time is taken up serving as the vice president of the Undergraduate Student Government. He has also spent time interning in Taiwan and is currently on the USC club Ultimate Frisbee team. Other hobbies include skiing, sports of all kinds, reading, traveling, and praying the Chargers win the Superbowl. After graduation Tony hopes to pursue a career in strategy consulting.

Zhizhe Miao

Zhizhe Miao is a junior in USC, majoring in Mathematics and Business administration with a concentration in investments and financial markets. After graduation, Zhizhe plans to pursue a post graduate degree in Financial Engineering and a career in investment management.


He has worked in both corporations and banks, making risk assessments and capital investment decisions, forecasting budget and determining capital expenditures. Currently, he is the Co-Founder of, a start-up website, where he devotes a great amount of time and effort to the daily operation to increase the value of the enterprise. As a Co-founder, he conceived the business idea, corporate structure and revenue generation model, conducted communication, negotiation, market analysis and surveys, and designed and implemented the nationwide marketing strategy and online promotion scheme. He also participated in problem solving process in resolving various legal issues. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and traveling.

Alexander Muhr

Alexander Muhr is a senior double majoring in Economics and Policy, Planning and Development (Real Estate Focus). He is heavily involved in the Trojan Investing Society where he is currently President and is also a member of the Entrepreneur Club. Alexander’s internship experiences include working for AESU, a European tour operator, Mikan Holdings, a real estate developer outside Toronto, Moore Capital Management and DA Capital, both hedge funds based in New York. He also recently founded and is co-editor of the Trojan Investing Newsletter.


Outside of class he focuses on finding investment opportunities, following markets, and reading. Other than investing, Alexander enjoys golfing, squash, skiing, listening to music, traveling and watching movies. Upon graduation he plans to pursue a career in investment management.

Kelvin Ng

Kelvin Ng is a junior and will be graduating in 2010 with a BS in Finance and a BS in Economics/Mathematics. In the past two summers he has interned with Citigroup and Ion Partners, a middle-market investment bank based in New York. In this coming summer he will be working as an investment banking analyst in Barclays Capital. He has passed the CFA Level 1 exam.In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies, playing Winning-11 and watching the English Premier League.

Justin Roman

Justin Roman is a senior at USC, majoring in Business Administration, with a concentration in International Business. He is an active member in the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. This past semester, Justin studied abroad through Marshall in Milan, Italy. He has interned in private wealth management at LaSalle Bank in Chicago, as well as with Mesirow Financial Consulting, also located in Chicago.


In his spare time, Justin enjoys playing and watching football, basketball, and tennis. Justin intends on pursuing a job in consulting or investment banking, upon graduation in May 2009.

Kimberly Tung

Kimberly Tung expects to graduate from the USC Marshall School of Business in May 2009, with a B.S. in Business Administration and a concentration in Financial Analysis and Valuation. This past summer, Kimberly interned as an Analyst at ECHELON Partners, a boutique investment banking and consulting firm that targets the wealth and investment management industries. She is currently working as a Client Associate in Merrill Lynch’s Global Wealth Management department.


In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys playing tennis, snowboarding, and cooking. Upon graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in investment banking or investment management and later attend graduate school.

Ryan Tunnell

Ryan Tunnell is a senior at the Marshall School of Business, majoring in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance. He spent two years working for ABC Studios Finance, where he helped develop financial models. During Summer 2008, Ryan worked for The Walt Disney Company in its Corporate Operations Planning and Analysis Group, which is responsible for reporting, analyzing, and forecasting the company’s financial performance. Ryan was a Project Leader for the Marshall Consulting Program during the 2007-2008 school year, where he provided strategic advice to Maximum Force Enterprises, a company that specializes in violence prevention programs. Currently, Ryan is conducting corporate bond research as an assistant to Professor Harry DeAngelo.

Wai-Lam “William” Yiu


Wai-Lam “William” Yiu is a senior expecting to graduate from USC in May 2009 with a B.S. in Business Administration with double concentrations in Financial Analysis & Valuation, and Investments & Financial Markets. William has interned with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management division and Citigroup Corporate Banking division in Hong Kong. He is also a founding member and a Tutor at the Finance Learning Center at USC. Moreover, William is the Treasurer of the USC Dragon Boat Team and was the Chief Operating Officer of the Trojan Investing Society. He has received both Bloomberg Equity and Fixed Income Product Certifications. He is currently a CFA level 1 candidate and plans to pursue his career in investment management.


In his spare time, he enjoys snowboarding, playing electric guitar, listening to music and watching movies.

Connie Xu

ay 2009. She is pursuing a concentration in Investments and Financial Markets in the USC Marshall School of Business. Connie has interned with Bank of America Securities as a financial analyst in its Real Estate Investment Banking Group. Prior a physics major, Connie has done research with the USC Nanoelectronics & Advanced Material Innovations (NAMI) group where she developed computer programs collecting, storing, and translating magnetic analog data. She has worked as the Treasurer of the USC Chinese Student Association and is currently actively involved with the USC Marshall Finance Learning Center. She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international business honor society. In her spare time, Connie enjoys playing piano, snowboarding, and traveling. She intends to pursue a career in Real Estate Investment Banking upon graduation.

Larry Harris

Larry Harris (Instructor) holds the Fred V. Keenan Chair in Finance at the USC Marshall School of Business. His research, teaching, and consulting address regulatory and practitioner issues in trading and in investment management. His introduction to the economics of trading, Trading and Exchanges: Market Microstructure for Practitioners (Oxford University Press: 2003), is widely regarded as a “must read” for entrants into the securities industry. Professor Harris served as Chief Economist of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from July 2002-June 2004. He currently serves as an independent director of Interactive Brokers, Inc. (IBKR) and of Clipper Fund, Inc. (CFIMX), as the director of the USC Marshall School Center for Investment Studies, and as the research coordinator of the Institute for Quantitative Research in Finance (the Q-Group). Dr. Harris received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 1982.
